The asphalt industry is full of 'fly by night' type contractors. Please remember that if the price you're being offered sounds too good to be true, it probably is. A legitimate and qualified contractor will not have enough 'leftover material' from another job to complete yours.

There are a lot of high pressure sales tactics, but remember you can ALWAYS ask for references and ensure that the contractor has valid insurance to protect you from any liabilities while the work is taking place.

A reputable paving contractor is likely to be taking bookings several weeks in advance or more, so please plan ahead!
